FIRST NATION COMMUNITIES
Indigenous people are 3.5 times more likely to be diagnosed with COVID-19 than Caucasians and are twice as likely to die from the virus. Tribal governments lack the resources and support to effectively test for new cases and treat individuals when exposed. The World Hero Foundation is working quickly to prioritize access to COVID-19 tests and PPE supplies urgently needed to curb the spread of this deadly pandemic on tribal lands.
FIRST RESPONDERS
First responders risk their lives in the care and service of others, and in doing so, experience high levels of occupational stress and burnout. The World Hero Foundation offers multiple levels of support from PPE supplies to resilience training and mental health therapy. Helping our everyday heroes so they can continue to help all of us.
ENVIRONMENTAL ISSUES
The environment plays a crucial role in the sustainability of life as we know it here on earth. Human-induced pollution and over-use of natural resources are contributing to the destruction of our planet as well as threatening clean water supply, agriculture, animal habitats, and the air we breathe. The World Hero Foundation prioritizes environmental issues by supporting those helping to resolve them.
GLOBAL HEALTH
Global health is defined as the area of study, research and practice that places a priority on improving health and achieving equity in health for all people worldwide. The World Hero Foundation supports innovative ideas and incubates new technologies with organizations, governments, and individuals to save lives, reduce disease, and improve health around the world.
PPE SUPPLIES AND COVID-19 RAPID DIAGNOSTIC TESTING KITS
The rapid spread of Covid-19 is threatening lives, health systems and economies. One of the best ways to mitigate the spread is to identify those who may be infected so they can be isolated and treated, reducing spread of the contagion to others. Rapid diagnostic testing and PPE are powerful tools in this fight. WHF has rapid result test kits and PPE available for purchase by companies and organizations who are serving front line workers or vulnerable communities. We also accept PPE donations, which will be given to those most in need.
HOMELESSNESS
Every day an estimated 553,742 people in the United States have no home and live on the streets. The World Hero Foundation supports sustainable green housing communities and the delivery of essential human services, especially for those who are least able to help themselves. The primary goal is to educate and prioritize a self-sustaining and dignified quality of life.
VETERANS
For many of the approximately 22 million veterans in the U.S., the return to civilian life is met with significant and various struggles. Emotional and psychological stress are inherently synonymous with military service and PTSD can be a major factor in veterans readjusting to civilian life. The World Hero Foundation is partnering with assistance programs to help individuals integrate back into communities, create and adapt job skills, and foster personal achievement.
